Job Description

Delivers on Dornier MedTech’s commitment to quality customer service. Utilizes technical and communication skills in providing total preventive and corrective maintenance for Dornier MedTech medical equipment with the objective of providing the highest degree of customer satisfaction. Sells product service contracts to assigned customers.

This job is an at-will position. Employment in this job is not for any fixed period of time, and either the Company or the employee may terminate employment at any time, with or without advance notice, and with or without cause. The Company may change the terms or conditions of employment at any time.

Job Responsibilities

Technical

• Schedules and performs preventive and corrective maintenance as directed and required.
• Responsible for site installations and de-installations including scheduling, packing, unpacking and inspection of equipment.
• Responsible for the installation of technical bulletins.
• Perform clinical application support on assigned equipment.
• Responsible for maintenance of assigned tools, test equipment and tech spares.

Administrative

• Performs the administrative duties associated with the job, including expense reports, time reports, parts requisitions, RMA/GRMA’s, installation checklists, PAC’s, FSR’s, FCO’s, PPL requests and other reporting duties as assigned.
• Expected to maintain administrative metrics (RMA’s, open calls, call closings, inventory values and overtime) within department goals/guidelines.
• Assures that all paperwork is completed and submitted neatly, accurately and on-time.
• Provide information to customers on service contract programs. Follow-up and promote service contract programs.
• Adheres to and insures compliance with safety policies and practices within his/her group.

Travel

• 50%-70% travel with occasional overnight stay required.
• Performs on-call standby duty and travel as required.
• Must be prepared to work overtime and odd hours on occasion or as assigned.

Developmental

• Responsible for developing and maintaining customer confidence and insures excellent customer relations.
• Responsible to help sell and market, both internally to the corporation and externally to our customers the image and reputation of Dornier MedTech.
• Responsible to assist, through the appropriate channels the sales and marketing operation, in ensuring the overall success of the corporate goals.
• Assist National Service Manager with projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must be insurable for motor vehicle operation.
• Must possess a valid passport or ability to obtain a passport.
• Must maintain ability to clear security access for travel requirements.
• Must maintain ability to possess a personal credit card in case of emergencies.
• Two years technical related service experience or 9-15 months Dornier MedTech experience.
• Must have good communications and interpersonal skills and must be reliable and able to work independently.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Operational Skills

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Technical and Computing
• Knowledge and experience in service of technical equipment including lasers and/or ultrasound. Capable of operating test equipment related to the job (oscilloscope, diagnostic testers, etc.) Competency in Microsoft Office products.
