BERLIN, GERMANY - November 12, 2011 – Introduced at the Congress of German Society of Veterinary Medicine, the Medilas D30 Vet Diode laser was presented as a surgical device for treatment of the upper respiratory tract, urology, and orthopedic surgery on animals.  The Medilas D30 Vet Diode laser may result in reducing the amount of time the patient recuperates post-surgery, as surgical outcomes have shown less pain and swelling post-surgery, faster healing times, and a lower risk of infection.

LIMA, PERU – March 3, 2008 – In an unveiling held at the Presidential Palace, President Alan Garcia Perez announced the acquisition of six Dornier Compact Sigma Lithotripters.  Previously, lithotripsy for the treatment of kidney stones had limited availability to the people of Peru.  These new Compact Sigma lithotripters will be placed in six social security hospitals, three in Lima and three in other parts of the country giving Peruvians an alternative to invasive surgery for kidney stones.

ATLANTA, GA – March 3, 2006 – Amerinet Inc., will make savings on Dornier’s diode laser products available to Amerinet members through the addition of the Dornier D940 SkinPulse S diode laser to an existing contract with Dornier MedTech America, Inc.  The existing contract allows Amerinet members to purchase Dornier’s lithotripters, urology imaging tables and orthopedic shock wave devices at a discount.  The contract is valid through August 31, 2008.

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – MARCH 10, 2005 – Dornier MedTech celebrates the 25th anniversary of the first patient treatment with extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL). The first patient was treated on the Dornier HM1 on February 7, 1980 by Christian Chaussy, M.D. head of urology at Staedtische Krankenhaus Muenchen-Harlaching and teaching professor at the Ludwigs-Maximilians University, Munich, Germany.
