UIMS, Urology Information Management System

UIMS - Dornier's next generation of digital imaging, data management, and connectivity platform is urology based and available on all Dornier high-end lithotripters and urology tables. The graphical user interface is easy to use and allows direct interaction with all functions, including image and data management.

Zero Bladder Cut-off

True Zero Bladder Cut-off is achieved due to the radiolucent table top and X-ray system that can image beyond the end of the table. This allows physicians to obtain high quality fluoroscopic images to the very end of the table and of the entire urological tract, ideal for brachytherapy.

Enhanced Safety

The unique design of the Opus II enhances safety for the patient as well as the staff. The imaging system of the Opus II travels around the patient rather than the patient moving into a fixed imaging field. This reduces the risk of patient’s limbs being caught during table movement and prevents the need for anesthesia movement during the procedure. The isocentric tilting feature prevents injury to the physician by eliminating movements between the physician and patient. Additionally, the Opus II has the lowest table height, making patient loading and unloading easier for the staff at the same time reducing risk of injury.

Small Footprint, Design Flexibility

The Opus II has the shortest tabletop and smallest footprint in the industry. The light-weight carbon fiber table design and exchangeable head and foot pieces allow the table to be easily changed to either a right- or left-hand configuration in a matter of seconds. The Opus II is also equipped with anatomical and table position memories making set-up quick and easy.
