Dornier MedTech Introduces New Lithotripter, Compact Delta II at the AUA

SAN ANTONIO, TX – MAY 23, 2005 – Dornier MedTech introduces the Compact Delta II with UIMS at the annual American Urological Association meeting. This advanced system combines proven Dornier technology with special imaging, communication and reporting functionality.

The Compact Delta II is based upon the superior technology and performance of the highly successful Compact Delta. This fully integrated system continues to deliver exceptional stone breaking ability with Dornier’s proven EMSE technology and offers treatment flexibility with the unique, motorized therapy head. The isocentric design allows imaging and targeting to revolve around a single focal point making set-up and targeting precise and easy.

The fully digital Compact Delta II also features UIMS (Urology Information Management System). This premium patient data management system incorporates comprehensive DICOM capabilities including print, store, query/retrieve and worklist management. The urology based system can be integrated with other Dornier products such as the Opus II or Doli S II as well as any hospital network allowing the user to exchange images from other modalities including CT and ultrasound. Also available is the unique Advanced Patient Data Management Reporting System.

“The addition of UIMS technology to the Compact Delta II adds another dimension to our premium line of lithotripters. The advanced imaging and networking capabilities make it ideal for any hospital or clinic. As a global leader in lithotripsy, Dornier continues to develop innovative solutions to benefit both the patient and physician,” commented Dave Eng, Dornier MedTech CEO.
