Dornier MedTech announces new names for global business units

MUNICH, GERMANY – JANUARY 17, 2002 – Dornier MedTech, the inventor of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL®) for the treatment of kidney and ureter stones, has changed the names of its global business units.

The new names are consistent with the company’s brand name and its desire to present a uniform image to the market. All business names will take the Dornier MedTech prefix, followed by operational or regional designations.

The new business names include Dornier MedTech GmbH, Wessling, Germany, corporate headquarters; Dornier MedTech Systems GmbH, Wessling, Germany, development and production; Dornier MedTech America, Inc., Kennesaw, Georgia, sales and service for North America; Dornier MedTech Laser GmbH, Germering, Germany, development and production of medical lasers; Dornier MedTech Europe GmbH, Wessling, Germany, sales and service for Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America; Dornier MedTech Japan Co. Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, sales and service for Japan; and Dornier MedTech Asia Pte. Ltd., Singapore, sales and service for Asia-Pacific (excluding Japan).
