American Kidney Stone Management purchases sizable number of Dornier lithotripters
ATLANTA, GA – May 11, 2001 – American Kidney Stone Management (AKSM), one of the nation’s largest providers of lithotripsy services, recently purchased 10 Dornier Compact Delta lithotripters. The volume purchase will help augment AKSM’s growing mobile business, which now serves more than 250 hospitals in 17 states.
Manufactured by Dornier MedTech, the inventor of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, the Compact Delta is a state-of-the-art device designed for portability and ease of use. The system’s shock source and C-arm are fully integrated, and the motorized therapy head moves laterally and horizontally to treat in both over- and under-table positions.
