ESWT - Non-invasive Treatment
Extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) is a non-invasive procedure for the treatment of musculo-skeletal injuries and pain. Shock waves are delivered from outside the patient’s body to the area of discomfort. The treatment triggers the body’s own repair mechanisms to initiate natural healing.
Indications for equine use include but are not limited to:
- Flexor tendons
- Suspensory ligament
- Navicular syndrome
- Coffin joint
- Coffin bone
- Common tendon sheet insertion (carpal joint)
- Thoracic muscles “kissing spine”

- Upper neck muscles
- Trigger points
